The first Russian-Tunisian orthopaedic meeting
The first Russian-Tunisian orthopaedic meeting is held 27-30 May in the Tunisian capital. Its main topics are the potentials of the transosseous osteosynthesis including its applications in spinal tumors and knee deformities due to gonarthrosis.
The RISC RTO’s delegates are general director Prof. V.I. Shevtsov, Prof. A. Khudyaev, N. Klyushin, M. Teplenky, N. Shikhaleva and G. Ivanov.
Their presentations are various aspects of neurosurgery, bone infection, foot and hand issues.
Prof. Vladimir Shevtsov will deliver 2 lectures on bone growth stimulation in limb lengthening and will present to the participants a new design of the external Shevtsov-Matsukatov fixator that has been developed to meet the needs of orthopaedics as it is designed to work in all planes and simultaneously perform lengthening and deformity correction.
The Center’s surgeons will also held two master classes and a round table dedicated to dysplasia and hip dislocation in children and adults.
She also received a 2009 diploma as a young promising orthopaedic surgeon from a foreign country.
