The days of Prof. Vladimir Shevtsov's school

Professor Shevtsov's Formula of Success is a book that is dedicated to the 70th birthday of Prof. V.I. Shevtsov and was issued on December 23, 2008.

The book is written by Irina Smirnova, head of the information and editing department of the Ilizarov center. The book describes Prof. V. Shevtsov’s childhood, student years, beginning of his medical career and tells us how he started as a scientists that how he turned to be the leader of the famous center and his scientific school.

In the chapter Sketches to the portrait the author collected the opinions of his colleagues, disciples and friends about Prof. Shevtsov’s personality and deeds. One can also read about the unknown pages in his life such as his activities during the Chechnya war and in Pakistan. The printed number is only 150 books and surely the book will be highly demanded by Kurgan libraries.
