Ceremonial awarding of the rank of "Honourable Professor of "RSC RTO" took place in Alma Mater of Ilizarov’s method.
Doctor George Vito (the USA) became the 10th honourable professor of "RSC RTO". He is the head of the Centre for extremity deformities (the USA) and of the Columbian-and-American Orthopaedic Fund, President of the American college of foot and knee-joint.
During his 15th visit to Kurgan George Vito brought the group of American traumatologists-orthopaedists, who became the participants of international courses for the method of transosseous osteosynthesis.
In October, 12 2007 George Vito was awarded with diploma, professorial gown.
Traditionally, the honourable professor of "RSC RTO" planted silver fir at the fir path near Ilizarov monument.
