Orthopaedic department № 10 comprises 34 beds. There are one-, two-, four- and six-bed wards equipped to provide maximum comfort to patients. As much emphasis should be placed on the care delivered within the environment as on the environment itself. Highly qualified diligent staff guides our patients from prersurgery education through postsurgery rehabilitation and quick recovery. Surgeons of the Department were trained in leading-edge medical institutions of Russia and abroad and have extensive experience.

Our joint replacement team is dedicated exclusively to the surgical care and rehabilitation of patients with severe diseases and injuries of major joints.

Surgical joint replacement procedure is a type of joint surgery where the worn and damaged joint is removed and replaced with an artificial joint (prosthesis). The procedure can help relieve joint pain, restore the function, eliminate limping and restore the joy of motion.

We make use of exclusively high quality joint replacement products manufactured by “Smith & Nephew Inc., «DePuy» (USA) and "Ceraver" (France). There are available regular metal/polyethylene implants as well as ceramic-on-ceramic and metal-on-metal articulations that are now popular in the United States and Europe. Care and treatment for patients are provided on a non-commercial and commercial basis.

In order to take state-financed treatment for joint replacement at our Centre a patient should obtain a referral from a local health authority for providing high technology medical assistance in federal specialized medical institutions.

Self-payment by the patient also is an option. An optimal endoprosthesis chosen will be tailored to medical indications and your specific wishes. Prices of implants depend on the type of fixation in the bone (cement or cementless) and a type of bearing. The rest of the expenses includes a complete set of preoperative examination, in-clinic stay during 30 days, meals, surgical procedure, the whole medication and rehabilitation postoperative course.

Alternative payment sources for treatment services provided by our Centre can be covered by insurance companies, enterprises and organizations, and according to medical services contract.

The patients who previously underwent a procedure earlier can have a course of rehabilitative treatment including exercise therapy, physical treatments, massage and specific drug therapy. Experienced staff and treatment programs would allow for joint function, gait and muscle strength to improve considerably within 10 -12 days.
