Limb injuries
Every day thousands of people become patients of trauma departments all over the world as injuries are the most frequent orthopaedic challenge of our times.
The outcome of their treatment directly depends on urgent and qualified first aid. If the assistance delays the period of treatment considerably increases or complications occur. That is why our Center admits trauma patients on 24-hour basis. The reduction of bone fracture is carried out using the Ilizarov apparatus for transosseous osteosynthesis that provides management and control of fracture repair throughout all treatment period without additional surgical interference.
Bone fractures are frequently accompanied by soft tissues lesions (blood vessels and nerves). Restoration of their integrity becomes the defining measure in the attempt to preserve functions of injured limbs and therefore in social adaptation of a patient
