From the 19th to 20th of June the group passed the way from Vladivostok to Ussuriisk(150km) and arrived at Habarovsk, overcoming the distance of 740 km. today the participants of rally leaved Habarovsk and now they are going to Kudor(350 km).
6463km are left to Kurgan.

The morning sun beamed on the fields, and our day began. And 260 kilometers later, we at last reached Chita. more

The Japanese came to Cheljabinsk. They were met by local bikers and sent to the hotel.

Cheljabinsk-Ufa. The route was long (405 km). The Urals amazed by their landscapes. more

Ufa – Kazan
There are 313 km before the travelers. They left a bit earlier in order to visit the internet – cafe.

393 km are left to Nizhni Novgorod. They will reach the city at about 4 p.m.

The motorcyclists are in Moscow. Tomorrow they will go to vehicle inspection station and sightseeing.

The Japanese passed vehicle inspection successfully. more

Bone and Joint Decade goes on...

The Bone and Joint Decade 2000-2010 (BJD) aims to improve the health-related quality of life for people with musculoskeletal disorders worldwide. The Bone and Joint Decade 2000-2010 (BJD) aims to improve the health-related quality of life for people with musculoskeletal disorders worldwide, to raise awareness, identify needs, empower patients, promote cost-effective prevention and treatment and advance understanding through research and education within the area..

From the 9th till 11 of July 2007 RISC "RTO" will meet participants of motorbike Rally project "Trans-Eurasia" from Japan. Motorbike Rally "Trans-Eurasia, Japan"

Motorbike Rally "Trans-Eurasia, Japanâ is taking place in order to promote "Bone and Joint Decade "campaign (BJD). Its participants started from Japan, directing from east coast of the continent to the starting point of this motorbike Rally "Dakarâ in Portugal. Choice of this route and visit to Kurgan are not accidental.

On the 15th of June, in 86th anniversary of academician G.A.Ilizarov's birthday took place solemn ceremony of the project begin.

In one of previous visits to Kurgan Prof.Takashi Matsushita, President of National Committee of BJD told a story of famous Japanese sportsmen and traveler Shindji Kazama who was successfully treated after trauma during Paris-Dakar Rally 2004 by means of Ilizarov device in his clinic and on his wish to visit Kurgan and Ilizarov Center. He is the only rider in the world who ever has reached at the both Poles on his motorbike (1987 - North, 1992 - South).

Japanese orthopedists and traumatologists - are often guests in Kurgan, they coming with big groups to study Ilizarov method. Later on we"ve got an official request from Japanese side to accept a group of project participants and let them to perform shooting of the future film. This agreement was received; many Japanese companies supported this project. On the 15th of June at 18.00 p.m. participants of this project started on the ship from Vladivostok in order to take over there motorbikes and start their journey.

The team is going to arrive in Kurgan on the 9th of June to visit Ilizarov Center. There is Japanese film unit in the staff of the Rally, that is making TV program about RISC "RTO" and patients with various trauma cases undergoing treatment according to Ilizarov method.

On the 16th of June there was a press conference. This project is widely presented by Japanese newspaper . "Asahi". We"ll watch closely the route of participants in Russia and contact them.

Prof.V.I.Shevtsov is now in Bratislava (Slovakia) taking part together with Russian Delegation in International Exhibition. He sent a welcoming letter to the Rally participants.
